You are not required to bring any equipment, as mats, blocks and belts are available to use. However, you may prefer to use your own mat.
It is advisable to bring water to keep yourself hydrated.
Wear clothes which you feel comfortable in and which do not restrict your movement. Clothing does not need to be tight fitting, loose clothing is equally as appropriate.
Aim to leave a minimum of two hours between eating and attending class, and ideally 3-4 hours if possible, as some postures will impact upon the digestive system.
Also, aim to hydrate yourself by drinking plenty of water in advance of the class.
Absolutely not!! Yoga will increase your flexibility, strength and general wellbeing so don't worry if you can't touch your toes for example, the benefit comes in the trying to get there!
It does depend on the extent and type of injury or illness. Yoga can be beneficial in helping the recovery of some injuries and illnesses but may worsen other conditions.
